Dear Students,
Welcome back! I hope that you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to the new academic year. This fall, we have a great deal to look forward to and be proud of at Auburn. With highly-respected academic programs, the opening of our state-of-the-art Student Center and a great football season ahead of us, this is truly an incredible time to be an Auburn student! There is no place like Auburn in the fall, and I hope that you feel as blessed as I do to be back in the “Loveliest Village on the Plains.”
The SGA has been working diligently this summer to prepare for the year. We have already carried out projects, such as painting the tiger paws on the streets of Auburn while organizing pep-rallies, blood drives, Hey Day and many other fall events. Additionally, we are working alongside administrators in searching for a new provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, preparing plans for a new student recreation and wellness center and addressing various other student life issues. Do not hesitate to e-mail me at hayesla@auburn.edu or stop by the SGA office in the new Student Center with any questions, concerns or ideas.
This year will be full of exciting opportunities, and I encourage you to make the most of experiences that come your way. Take the time to find your perfect fit on campus through exploring all that Auburn has to offer in academics, athletics and organizations. The best advice that I can offer is find your passion, dream big, and work tirelessly to making your dreams a reality. There is absolutely nothing out of your reach at Auburn and beyond.
Get ready to spend long nights studying in the library, cheer on our Tigers and embrace every moment! Make the most of your time as an Auburn student. I wish you all the best of luck for the upcoming year!
